See You Around
by Lauren I.

I have no idea.
She has no idea.
I just wanted him to love me before things got like this.
I wish I could keep her forever…
Why do I still like him?
Does she realize it’s for the best?
He just stopped wanting me and he said he wouldn’t.
I hope she doesn’t hate me.
He is a liar.
I can’t believe I let this happen.
How did I become so entwined?
I hurt too.
Maybe it was a passing moment in life?
Where has time gone? Where’s life?
I hate him.
I hope she knows,
But I still love him.
Life will work out.
He didn’t save me.
It’s for the best.
Maybe he isn’t good for me.
Never forget,
I guess I’ll have to live and know what’s best for me.
That I will love her forever.

Through Chameleon Eyes
By Marcela R.
It was just a day,
Nothing new, nothing grand.
But I was saved,
On my stomach you laid a hand.

Ever since that day,
My life has changed.
There is good and bad,
Scary and Strange.

Just when I thought,
I would lose my mind.
The answers came out,
Easy to find.

Through Voices, Lies,
Secrets and Games.
Pieces came together,
Showing me names.

Family and friends,
They all played a part.
With powers or not,
See it in my art.

When one believes in themselves,
And the powers within.
Easier it becomes,
To know evil and grin.

Though times can be rough,
At times feeling a wraith.
It is in Touch,
That I place my faith.

Dear Camelia Hammond:
I write to you because I’m being selfish. I’m hoping this letter will bring my voice back. The night you tried to save me from Jack, Ben was the real hero. With each punch, pummel, and push, I become surer that this was personal to him. The way he held you was beautiful; it was captivating. The way he cleaned the blood off your face and kissed you showed me what true love looks like. How he wept for you, hoping you would somehow understand and forgive him even though you were unconscious, broke my heart. I could sense he wouldn’t be able to live with himself if he hadn’t made it in time that night. It was clear to me, even in that short time, the two of you had been through so much. Yet he let that other boy take the credit for saving our lives. You knew though, didn’t you? You knew Ben saved us. He saved you. I don’t understand why you didn’t say something or why he didn’t go with you to the hospital. But I do know you will never be happy apart. You two are like tree roots: unseen, confusing, strong, and apparently never ending. The love I saw that night is the only thing that’s kept me going. I only want to know the end of your and Ben’s story. And I hope it’s good.

Sixth Sense
By Alyssa A.

I want to get away
But everything around me
Becomes stronger.
My senses strain yet I try to resist.
Will there ever be an end to this?
Death I see.
Pain and suffering,
Everything, but me.
The past, present, and future
Are all coming to me.
Images I can’t seem to comprehend
Yet I seek refuge in nothing,
Not even my closest friends.
The only thing that calms me most
Is the slick clay beneath my fingertips.
Awaiting to be formed by its host

Touch My Mind
By Emie J.

She opens her eyes,
She can’t see,
Let the voices ring,
In front of me.

The colors fade,
The black words are bleak,
Will her perseverance reign,
Or will havoc wreak?

Time is dull,
Thoughts are bright,
As his vision appears,
The mind’s true light.

Will it be dark,
Will it be dim,
Past and future converge,
While she thinks of him.

The true ending,
Time will tell,
Will they hold strong,
Or have Love’s walls fell?

Touch my mind,
Let me in,
Deadly secrets,
My sweet sin.

A glance across the room
Will cause a shiver to dance down my spine,
Preventing a coherent thought
From passing through my head.
Just a brush from your fingertips
Can leave me on edge for hours,
Sending me images of red roses
And cloud-soaked mornings.
Is it fair that with just
One touch
You can reduce me to nothing but
A love-sick girl
That wants, no, needs you in her life.
The connection that I feel to you
Is unlike any other,
And that scares me,
But I can’t seem to stay away,
So take my hand
And touch my heart.
Hopefully, this time the romance of it all
Will carry us through the storm.

An original song by CRoseSings:

By Alison F.

When I left town, I thought I was protecting her. I thought maybe if she stayed away from me for a while, she wouldn’t be in danger. I wouldn’t hurt her by touching her. I don’t know. Maybe Camelia is just a magnet for danger. Maybe no matter how far away I run away from her, she’ll always find some kind of danger. I guess her parents could put her in a mental clinic somewhere. She’d be safe there, I’m sure. I wouldn’t be able to touch or hurt her. I fell in love with her. I never, ever, want to see her hurt. I know that’s not entirely possibly. But I don’t want her getting hurt by me or anyone else for that matter. Of course, I can’t exactly prevent that from happening. I can’t always know what anyone is thinking. I can only know – by touch…depending on how long it’s been.

Is the reason she’s always in danger because she has a kind of a psychometric power? I have no idea. I don’t think I want to find out.

Come Back to You
An original song by Addie M.

Once upon a time I could actually call you mine.
You’d take me for a ride, but then you’d know what I felt inside.
And baby that only made me wanna run and hide.
I knew it would all end someday but I didn’t expect it to end today.
But when you’d kiss me.
I knew something was right.
You’d leave me breathless for the rest of the night.
I’d beg you to stay, but you’d go anyway.
I don’t know why I do, but I always come back to you.
Did you know you’d break my heart?
Tell me baby did you ever see this part?
Is that why you’d push me away to save me from the pain?
I try to be brave, but at times I’m so afraid.
And you’re the only one I can turn to.
Cuz you’re the only one who feels the way I do.
Honey, when you’d kiss me.
I knew something was right.
You’d leave me breathless for the rest of the night.
I’d beg you to stay but you’d go anyway.
I don’t know why I do, but I always come back to you.
Baby, this is a mistake.
You’re the only one I’ll ever love.
No one can come above.
Tell me you love me too cuz I know you do.
And I don’t want to miss you and your deep dark eyes.
No matter how hard you try you can’t lie.
But when you kiss me.
I know something’s right.
You leave me breathless for the rest of the night.
I’d beg you to stay but you’d go anyway.
I don’t why but like I always do.
I’m coming back to you.

Sketches by Angel M:

An original poem by Lauren W.

Dark and mysterious Ben with is power of psychometry
Eventually moves to Camelia’s town.
Accused of murder
Despite accusations, he still goes to school.
Lives with his Aunt
Yet Camelia trusts him.

Love and death notes and packages
In her mailbox and window sill
Threatening her life and safety
Taking pictures of her around town and in her room
Life could soon end?
Ex-boyfriend still in love?

Strange gifts, photos, notes and phone calls
Expressions of obsession?
Controlling behaviour from Ben,
Rumoured of killing ex-girlfriend Julie
Episodes of anger…stalker maybe?
Time will tell what happens.
